The Journals of Siro LeBeau, Time-Watcher - Entry 7

Entry 7: The Shadowlands are upon us…

Mr. LeBeau, I want to talk to you… Those were the first words that I heard as soon as I arrived from my trip to the future. In front of me stood a welcoming party, lead by our Chrono-Guard Commander Sylgarth. I frozen, as I thought that my plans had been discovered, but I decided to play along, passing by stupid, so I asked him what happened and why I was having that reception. The Commander did not reply to me; instead he inquired me about my trip. And I was obligated to tell him, that I used my free time to saw someone that I really liked, but the only problem was that she still wasn’t born in the present time, as if that was an excuse for someone like us… and truth to be said, I wasn’t telling a completely lie…

He waived his head and with a fast movement he grabbed my arm, and took me to the front of the Chrono-Monitor, and away from the rest of the guards, then in a soft tone he tell me… “Siro, things are going to change soon, this was recorded while you were away, take a look…” pointing to the monitor. There I could see Starry Eyed, a famous Phyrran, she was running and out of breath in order to enter her hideout. Did you saw that? “At this point all the streets around the arena are filled with chaos. I could feel the tension tinkering in the air… for Starry even though it was a mad rush, she managed to get indoors today. But what will happen when the Shadows are in full force? No one knows. And Siro, I need you to do a thing for us…,”

I interrupted with a trembled what… the commander ignored it and continued “…but it’s a thing that our peers can’t know. I will erase all the evidences of your doings and this ours conversation, but please know that this might end both of our lives. But I do trust you, and as I know that you want to save Phyrra, this might be the only way. Do you want to become a Seeker for us Siro or something in those molds? Please, I need you to find a team to stop the Shadows and to help us saving Phyrra.”

But Sir, I ‘m a Watcher, I cannot interfere in the time lines. I told him, but he continued… “Siro! Please, you do not need to keep with that, at least not to me. I’m only asking you this, because I know that you’re capable of this, and I also know about your secret quest, the one that have the same objective as my own. Know that I do not want you to change your plans; I’m just giving you more freedom to do it so the rest is up to you. Oh, and Siro, for the records we did not have this conversation…” Then he felt the room leaving me alone with the image of what I just saw in my head…

Thoughts start running though my head… what will happen to Starry… and to all the other… our fate was blurring in front of me… what can I do… what can WE all do…

To be continued in the Revolution in the Shadowlands quests.

1. What is KHoKards? And what it means?
a. Well KHoKards or (Team) KHoK is the abbreviation of Kronnax’s House of Kards. And it's a group of fans of the Challenge Games applications/games who joint together to enhance their in-game characters/avatars. We started the group with 4 founding members: Hugo, Melissa, Americo and John. We've started this project in Melissa’s father Publicity, Design & Painting Atelier Store – Atelier Montemar (http://www.montemar.com.pt/). As for Americo & John, they're friends of Atelier's family. Since Hugo and Melissa would often come there to play and work on images and stuff, they actually started to like the games as well and that was our starting point.
2. Why the Hell you say that KHoKards is consisted in 4 members but there are 7 members in the About Us section?
a. At some point Americo, one of our founding members, had to leave our group due to some personal projects and situations. To culminate that void we had to incorporate two new staff members (Leonor & Miguel) and Bruno as a part-time collaborator (and no, he isn’t related with the twins 'though they share the same surname) mostly for the Online Searchable Databases, which we hope to share with you all in a near future.
3. What are those CG Fantasy, CG Sci-Fi & the CG Sports buttons in the main menu of the site?
a. Those buttons are our way to separate the Challenge Games’ games by settings, mostly to give some consistency to our site. Since today CG has a total of 10 games (and probably more on the way...) and we speak about all of them here, we had to separate the by settings:
· CG Fantasy: Duels, Nobility, Duels Defense, Duels Warstorm & Questy Quest.
· CG Sci-Fi: Planetstorm & Mech Duels.
· CG Sports: Baseball Boss, Baseball Boss Playa Rayta & Baseball Boss Home Run Challenge.
4. Why does everytime I search the net for the KHoKards site I came across with a Blogspot page that redirect me to here?
a. That's due to the fact that we started in a Blogspot's Blog. As we grown into a full site, we had to leave Blogspot to become the site that you’re seeing now, but we left that bookmark in order to everyone can easily access our site.
5. What is the Trading Venue?
a. Long short story, that one. You see... when we created KHoKards we thought about making a place to post the in-game stuff (like Duels items, cards, whatever…) that we didn't use anymore, but with all the stuff that we have in hands such as the stories, the site layout, the databases... well... that part was always placed as lower priority and still is at this moment. But that doesn't mean things couldn't change at any time.
6. Do you guys have any connection with Challenge Games? And how do you manage to maintain the KHoKards site?
a. No, we DO NOT have any connection with CG at any point or level (even 'though we'd like to have, but that's another subject). And we maintain this site at our own expenses; hey, we are just a fan-site for some online games, just like so many others. But returning to the last question, we're able to maintain this site (as well as our in-game activities) due to our real life work, as we all have real life works (but that's also one of the biggest causes for our lack of updates from time to time) and all that’s implied. Nether less, every month we put aside some money to “recharge” the only credit card we have in our ranks, the one that’s owned by Hugo. Hey, we’re like family now, so it’s all under control.
7. What is that stuff in the Resources sections that I never heard before, like Duels Frontstorm RPG?
a. For that stuff you can also blame Hugo, as he thinks he's some short of game designer. He wanted to present unique stuff made by us related to the games. So, in accordance with us all, we ended up with some projects: an original RPG "Duels Frontstorm RPG", an original CCG (or TCG if you prefer) named "PROJEKT KKG" and our newest one a miniature board game "Mech Duels Crashdown", 'though all of them are still in an early phase.
8. Oh, I bet that I write better than your main writer. So how can I volunteer some stuff (like a story, a drawing or whatever…) to the site?
a. That’s easy! Just submit your stuff to any of the emails you can find in the About Us section, or just plain and simple send an email to John, 'cause he’s the one that currently manage the submissions. You can mail him here.

Weekly Update - OMG! What a huge update!

We're just a couple of days before the arrival of the Shadowlands expansion in Duels and what that will bring us. Well... besides death, chaos, destruction and a few new Characters for our stories... only God and the CG brains know what will happen next. Hey, we'll wait to see, but now, let’s get going into our business.

If you still haven’t notice our menu bar changed. Now we have three new buttons (actually it's four, but I'm not counting with the Community button, 'cause it's just our Community sites allocated in the same place, alongside with a new F.A.Q.). Those buttons, or better, those CG (Challenge Games) buttons are our way to separate the different CG game lines. The first one is CG Fantasy that will showcase all the stuff passed in Duels Universe setting; next one's CG Sci-Fi and it's the futuristic setting; the final, but not less important, is the CG Sports button and the name says it all... its the Sport's games lair.

Regarding the Characters Bios we couldn't managed to release all the main Characters, so we managed to release the Bio for Tiberious, our Rogue from Questy Quest. But that's not all as we also manage to bring back from our old site our first Duels Frontstorm one-shot fiction, alongside with an archive for The Journals of Siro LeBeau, Time-Watcher.

And to come along with the revival of Planetstorm we managed to bring back to life all our Planetstorm fictions, alongside with our Planetstorm Beta Character Biography - Nathan Archer. And that's all for now, even 'though we weren't able to release just yet the so promised Searchable Online Database for Warstorm, we hope you enjoy all our new stuff and all the new stuff that CG will bring us this week!!!

The Journals of Siro LeBeau, Time-Watcher – Entry 6

Entry 6: New Hope

I cannot spot being astonished by her beauty in the Arenas, maybe it’s the way she moves, or her silver hair, or even her face with a mist of elven/human features that you at first sight can’t glance, but when you take a closer look you can spot her pointy ears, or maybe it’s her sexy tattoos, well at least the ones that are visible, like that one that she have on her face. Gosh, she’s beautiful, but I’ve got to reach her, as our fate relies upon us. I just hope that she believes in me, and I really hope that she’ll be willing to help me…

I let her finish her match… Then as she was leaving the Arena, I manage to see her between the crowd, so I decided to run to her… in a strange way, and thinking about that, I know that I’m really a geek, as I was running though her shouting her name and waving my arms to catch her attention, and that was what I did. She stopped and looked behind, and in a soft tone, she asked me if I wanted an autograph, I instantly, just said yes, then I froze, blushed and took a deep breath while I was staring at her…

The words from my mouth were unwilling to flow… then after another deep breath I managed to tell her the truth, that I did not wanted her autograph, that I was looking for her help, and I tell her my story, and my reason to look for her help… no yeah, I opted to omit the part that I think she’s beautiful. But my words at that point weren’t making her believe me. Then I changed my tactics, and started fundamenting my story with some facts that only she might knew, like her pirate heritage, and that was where I caught her. And even if in the end she isn’t with me now, she listened, and agreed to meet me again, in order to know more about the situation, so I returned to the Chrono-Watch full of hope, and hopping that my trip was unnoticed…

Duels Frontstorm RPG

For all the ones that like Pen & Paper RPGs, but most especially for the ones that like Duels, or Duels Warstorm I need your help, you see, I’m creating an RPG with the characters featured on KHoKards site, but I do NOT know a thing about RPG, ok… maybe a know a little but that’s not enough, so I managed this file (feel free to download), and now I need your suggestions/critics and add ones about it as today I present you the first trial version of Duels Frontstorm RPG

Weekly update – with NO updates

This week we won’t update the site mostly due to we all being tired from our real life work, making us with no time, nor patience to create new stories or some consistent update. And we’re sorry for that was we devote most of our spare time to this site and to all the Challenge Games’s games, but this week and that is just an impossible task, but that does not mean that we do not bring something new to KHoKards in the next couple of weeks, no, not at all, as we have a lot of the Journals of Siro LeBeau, Time-Watcher done and ready to publish, and that will not stop. As that we will have today’s new post as well as the weekend post, and then we will have our regular release next Tuesday, then on the following weekend as well… then only God knows what will happen to Siro as we will be only a few days from the coming of the Shadowlands…

In the meantime what this programmed hiatus bring us… Well let me place this in topics as when we came back it will be in full force:

* We have three main characters in our Duels Universe stories (Kronnax, Isilme & Spectree) and at this point we have only released one Character Biography, but that will change when we return, so expect that our magnificent three to have their Character Biography online. As secondary characters we have 13 characters plus four special characters, making a total of 20 characters to develop, play and write, well that’s a lot and we plan to have at least four Bios ready for the comeback, making a total release of 7 Character Biographies.

* We also hope to have resolved the issues that we’re having with the creation of a Searchable Online Database for Duels Warstorm, and we’re with our fingers cross in having it ready for the comeback.

* We also plan in releasing all the Planetstorm Fictions that we had on our old blog, alongside with one or two Character Biography from the CG Sci-Fi setting (meaning Planetstorm and Mech Duels… at this point, but CG may be willing to release a new Sci-Fi game at any time… and if they’re taking suggestions our is a Avatar driven RPG… just like Duels, but only with a sci-fi setting, that would be cool, we can just dream about it).

Well that’s all as we’re not counting with the slight adjustments to the site layout in order to incorporate all our stuff in a easily and friendly form. And that’s all for our future plans.

And to finish this long post, let me inform you all that the latest entry of our Time-Walker is online, you can read it here. But that's not all the news for the week as CG just released a new game in their CG Sports setting – Baseball Boss Home Rum Challenge, but this time the game isn’t allocated in a CG site, nor in Facebook as usual, this time the new game is on Kongregate, and you can check it out here… and it’s a very cool and addictive game, we all liked it, so run to try it!!!

Entry 5: Here we go

After that encounter I received an incoming transmission from my Chrono-Watch superiors relieving me from the Chrono-Monitor duty and granting me leave for rest of the day. And that was my line!!! I adjusted the Time Portal to 20 years in the future, and in a blaze of light I jumped through…

Entry 4: Light inside the Shadow

I really do not understand what just happened to me. I’m still shacking, cold and with a thirst for water as if I did not tasted it in ages. I must have fallen asleep and dreamt, but that was too real to be just a dream… It’s strange, as I was just sitting here at the Chrono-Monitor reviewing the data of entries into the Dreams World, then the time surrounding me stopped… a thing that it’s impossible here. Then I felt a hand in my shoulder, and as I looked back (thinking that it was just one of my co-workers, probably Crojack, our personal jester), I found out that by my side was an Elemental standing and starring at me. Do not be afraid… and listen… He told me that I was not alone in my quest, but the things would not be easy, and in the end all things might actually resolve themselves for the better way… He also told me that when possible he would come to help us… But who’s US??? He smiled, as I started flooding him with questions… He told me to relax, and pointed out to an empty chair (the one that I used to place my boots on top when I’m assigned to monitoring). I didn’t understand what he wanted to say with that gesture and continued asking more and more questions. Then in a blink of the eyes he disappeared in a blaze of light. I looked around and I was standing on the same stop I was before. Then I shivered, while I looked to the chair that was in front of the monitor, and in the place that my boots usually lay there was a Khronish Lei, and I know that it was not there seconds ago. I still looked around to see if I saw Crojack, but no, I was alone once again… and in the monitor there was one entry into the Dream World as someone or something had just exited it… Moonshadow Avatar.

Entry 3: Sabotage

This is a piece of crap; I think that someone discovered my plans to go to the future recruit someone in order to save Phyrra. That may be the cause that I’m now stuck here in this crappy “special” and “urgent” assignment. I’m monitoring the activity of the portal that connects our reality into the Dreams World. And this sucks, it’s always the same, the only real stuff that I see here from time to time is a Dream Warrior Guardian or two. And even if I had the idea of contacting one of them with my plans I would be caught in the act, as their Commanders work alongside with the Chrono-Watch, and that sucks… Oh, and beside that, the Birds freak me out even more than the Shadow Elements… Gosh, I’m losing my grip, I really do not know what to do as the situation in Phyrra is escalating and now with the arrival of the Talas Ogres things look worse and worse for every nano-second that pass. And I can do nothing while I’m stuck here…

Entry 2: Out of Time

At this point, things don’t look good down there… Our last report stated that some of the inhabitants that fought in the elemental war by the side of the Shadow Army are mutating into a short of Shadowkin grotesque beings. And even though some of them managed to rebel and taken away their inhibition collar, my fear is that the Shadow Elements control might overcome their free will. But that’s not all, as we still do not have any record about what is happening with the ones that had allied themselves with the Orzayans Dream Warriors, and with all of those Shadow Beasts running around Phyrra, no one can really know for sure… nor even us here at the Chrono-Watch, and that awakes another fear of mine, as I might do not have the time to prepare myself for this, so my only hope now lies in the future… It might and will be a hard tack to do, but I’ve been tracking a fighter that might help me. I’ll have to set our Time Gates seek out for her… but I will not fail, if I want to prevail…
