With that in mind, we will create staff personal pages under the KHoKards.com domain, and that will cause, a small (big) change in the way that you access our site, but that do not involve any cost to our readers, even though we will create a donate button and we will be obliged to have some publicity in our site, but that is a small price that we’ll have to pay for all the changes we’re about to embrace, meaning we’ll turn our site from an simple html page into a php page loaded with full Facebook interaction, meaning that you might log in into KHoKards.com with your Facebook login and even comment our stories with the plus of having your comment published in Facebook.
As we told before we will not abandon Challenge Games ‘games, no, of course not as we love their games, and they were the reason that we start this whole endeavor, so, if you’re a Challenge Games Dev please acknowledge that we will continue fully supporting your creations, even if we do not agreed with some of the Company past actions, and they might prove benefit or not to the future of your games, but regardless of what the Future brings us we Thank you for delivering us games, like Duels, Planetstorm, Warstorm, and so on, that made and still make us happy and forget that we had a bad day. Don’t forget that we start this hard volunteer job, nine months ago, of promoting your Games due to that single fact, and we will voluntarily continue doing so.
But as time goes by, and due to Facebook we discover new grounds to play, mostly due to some CG actions, more precisely the one that leaves fans without a word on what going on in the Company, and even knowing that in this business the secrets are a constant fact, as a member of an community being for more than a month without news from a Dev is really a bad thing, and is with that in mind that we at KHoKards tries to continued inform our fans what we’re doing, even if our update is a no update like today, but this way we’re connecting ourselves with our fans, and it’s our way to show them that we’re not dead, or just have given up on this project.
Continuing, at this point we can’t really talk about the new games that we’ll also support mostly due to the fact that we’re still trying to reach into an agreement about them, but what we can talk is about our members pages, that at this point will only be one, but soon we hope to have all our staff with some new cool websites inside KHoKards.com. The first site is Hugo Ferreira old Blog – O Armazém do Kronnax (Kronnax’s Warehouse)(http://kronnax.blogspot.com), that consists in a portfolio page about his old projects, so they will come into light again as soon as we finished the translations of some of his fictions into English, as the old Blog was written in Portuguese language (with the exception of some Fictions). So the archives of the new page will still be in Portuguese, but the Fictions and all the new contempt will be in English.
And more, as we also want to do something different, we also want to produce Facebook games based on our properties, mostly on Hugo Ferreira’s intellectual (now KHoKards) properties but we also embrace all the members’ new suggestions and ideas, but for that we need your volunteer help on some points that we will state above:
- We need volunteer writers to help us develop even further our stories,
- And we need volunteer artists to help us illustrate our stories and ideas,
- But we need volunteer web game creators/developers to convert into reality some of our crazy ideas.
And that’s a lot of stuff that we need, and we know that finding volunteer help in those matters won’t be an easy task, but for our love of the games, and our love of writing and developing this project we know that we will do this, so, if you’re reading this and want to help us, please drop us a line (or two) to our support mail – support@khokards.com.
To finish this long text we also want to thanks our friend and new member of the KHoKards family Andrew Powers, for his wonderful Duels Frontstorm fiction (that will be released when the new site went up), for his patience and for his support. Thank you Andrew for all.
As that said and done, we just want to thank you all for your support and for our almost 150 fans on our Facebook page, but we also want to inform that the release of the Duels Frontstorm RPG v.2.0 will be delayed until the site changing, that probably will be a few days before Christmas 2009.
